Clarke Willmott–fast and effective IT training
We helped law firm Clarke Willmott train hundreds of staff on new software ahead of schedule.
The brief
Top 60 law firm Clarke Willmott needed to implement a new internal system for document management. The new system operates across its offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton and Taunton.
The challenges
All of Clarke Willmott's 650 staff were to be trained, in strict order, on the new system within two months following the roll-out of new software across four offices. The job was too big for the firm's internal training staff to handle alone and we were brought in to help.
The solution
Two instructors were brought in to work alongside internal staff, carrying out training and giving follow-up support.
The execution
As well as classroom training, the instructors were also involved with post-training floor walking. This is a vital part of any large-scale roll-out of a new system and ensures that help is at hand for new users at their desk, immediately following their training. Any teething problems can be solved quickly, maintaining users' enthusiasm for the new solution.
The verdict
Nick Long, IT training team leader at Clarke Willmott, said: "We needed to find an external partner who did not just provide us with extra bodies, but understood what we were trying to achieve and would embrace our culture and ethos as well as working seamlessly with our internal training team. This was a big ask, but fortunately, Bray Leino BroadSkill was able to help.
Bray Leino BroadSkill trainers have done a great job for us. One of our lawyers even said it was the best IT training that he had ever had, which is praise indeed. The training went so smoothly that we actually finished ahead of plan."
